I really missed the boat on doing a top ten list this year. And that’s really not a very big deal to me.
For the most part I enjoyed 2009 at the movies.
Here’s Ten Good Flicks that I liked hard in no particular order.
Taken, Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America, Tyson, Drag Me to Hell/Up, Tony Manero, Inglourious Basterds, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, A Serious Man, Avatar, and err Knowing.
Other Gems included –
Land of the Lost, The Hurt Locker, Two Lovers, Adventureland, The Hangover, Star Trek, Taxidermia, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Bronson, Gentleman Broncos, Tulpan, The Box, the first half of 2012, AntiChrist and err Crank: High Voltage, 12 Rounds, The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, Public Enemies, The Box
Here were the worst –
Watchmen, Observe and Report, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Terminator: Salvation, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Flame & Citroen, Year One
These movies were overrated –

Best Theater Experiences –

Well I got that out of the way.
Seeing as we have now entered the second glorious decade of the 21st Century, I’ve decided to put together something important and a bit more grand than a top ten films of the ‘00s. Over the next few days, I’ll unleash the top 100 trailers of the ‘00s.
